Making our local communities more walkable through practical safety measures, including safer street crossings and street design.

Making sure residents are heard early in decisions that affect their neighbourhoods, with clear and transparent communication from City Hall.

Neighbourhoods that work
Improving local services, infrastructure, and the availability of community spaces so Etobicoke Centre has more places for people to gather and connect.

Community safety
Supporting safer, more connected neighbourhoods by working with communities and local partners to address safety concerns, improve overall well-being, and focus on prevention by addressing the root causes of crime before it happens.
About Jen
Lifelong resident
I’m a lifelong resident of Etobicoke Centre. I grew up here, and I’m now raising my two children here with my husband. This community isn’t just where I live — it’s where my life has unfolded.
Ten years of listening
For the past ten years, I’ve been working alongside residents across Etobicoke Centre — listening on doorsteps, in community meetings, and in the everyday moments where people speak honestly about what’s working and what isn’t.
My work has sat at the intersection of community advocacy, non-profit consulting, and engagement, supporting local initiatives around transportation, safety, housing, and neighbourhood development. I’ve seen where our systems fall short, how often residents are brought into decisions too late or not at all, and the strength and insight that already exist across our communities.
Writing as practice
I’m the founder of The Etobicoke Voice, where I write about local issues and community change. I also write through This Mom Roars, which explores women in leadership, civic life, and community-building. Both spaces come from the same place: trying to understand what people are experiencing, and giving it language that can lead to better conversations.
